About Me

Hi there! 👋


My name is Chelsea Adams & I am an abstract and mixed media artist based in Lexington, KY. I work primarily with spray paint and acrylics to create my pieces.


 A central theme in my work is the exploration of human emotion and the journey through life. With every emotion I have or every up and down I go through, I try to channel what a I am feeling into my paintings and work through them. With each of new piece, it is my goal to evoke feelings and emotions out of my viewers. Even if they are completely different than what I personally meant for the work to represent.


I am also a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and my identity plays a significant role in my artistic expression. I aim to create the art I needed when I was a young, closeted girl struggling to feel understood and celebrated. Some paintings are fun, vibrant and cheerful while others are gloomy, difficult and raw. The variety in each piece, I feel, captures the essence of what it means to navigate the world as people who at one point or another have felt othered or broken.


 My biggest goal when creating is for people to see my work and feel less alone. To feel understood. To feel celebrated. To simply, feel and know that they are valid. I would be delighted if you would follow me along on this journey.
